On this, the second episode of Some Party: the Punknews.org Ontario, host Adam White continues to explore independent music from the Org's home province of Ontario, Canada. Once again we present an eclectic mix of local punk rock and its genre-defying offshoots, from singer-songwriter to alt-country to folk.

Oregon pop-punkers Broadway Calls have just announced via Facebook that they will be heading into the Blasting Room in Ft. Collins, Colorado next month to record a new full-length album for release on SideOneDummy Records.
The band writes:
Next month, we'll be spending a few weeks in Ft. Collins at the Blasting Room making our new record for SideOneDummy Records ! While there, we figured it would be a good idea to play a show in Denver, because it's always a good idea to play a show in Denver. So on Friday March 30 we are playing a FREE ALL AGES show at Illegal Pete's in downtown Denver. Come hang out. We'll be studio weary and very ready to play a show at this point, and we love you. So we'll see you there.
The band released their Toxic Kids EP last year on All For Hope Records and their last full length, Good Views, Bad News in 2009.

We've happy to premiere (most of a) brand new song from No Trigger's upcoming album, Tycoon. The record is due out February 21, 2012 and is their first since 2006's Canyoneer.
The new song accompanies a teaser video with footage from recording and other band-related shenanigans.
We've got three movies ideas that we're working on, two specifically; one has a completely written script, which I can't go into yet. But the Poet movie is a very large, ambitious idea; it's about dreams and near death experiences. It'll have the pacing of a mainstream film, but it'll look very artistic. It'll allow us to create a score album that's very different to anything Angels And Airwaves has done in the past.
The record is expected to be recorded in the band's new studio, which Gabel and his family built beginning in September. The studio was used to record the latest album from Cheap Girls. They last released the Russian Spies [7-inch] in 2011 and Total Clarity and White Crosses in 2010.
