BYO Records has confirmed the long running rumors that One Man Army has broken up. The band members have been involved in various projects in the last few months, with frontman Jack Dalrymple playing guitar for Swingin' Utters as well as the band Dead To Me with fellow OMA alumni Brandon Pollack. The label commented "We love OMA and wish them all well...keep your eyes out as there are also other rumors of what Jack, Heiko, and Chippy are up to these days!"

ah they were a good band. i saw them at the warped tour years ago and was a instant fan. Swingin' utters are better though. 1+ Reply

FUCK I hated this band for ages (after only hearing their short music for short people track) and then I got a Byo sampler and gave myself a big slap... pisses me off. Right off. On another note, I wish Fat would do another... 2+ Replies

Bummer, for a street-punk band they were actually starting to progress, which is weird, yet sounded awesome.

that sucks! I interviewed the guys a few years ago at Maxwell's in Hoboken, nice guys, good music...w/ Jack joining the Utters, it was probably inevitable.

Damn, I was just listening to them again for the first time in a while a couple days ago. Best band I ever saw at Warped Tour, I wish I could have seen them at a smaller show, though. 1+ Reply

They were one of the very few newer punk banks that were around that I still listened to. Why do all the great punk bands do this kind of shit? At least Jack is playing in one of the best bands around still.
Someone (August 26, 2004)
but your last word spoken ringing in my ear say goodbye! i loved this band, good stage presence, good live show, but their last full length was very week and had shitty back vox. dead end stories, brah! fest!

fuck. fuck. fuckfuckfuck. FUCK. youre right. im not surprised. but it doesnt make the news any less shitty. heres to a crap-tastic day. good luck in your other projects, guys. but dammit im still pissy with you.

I saw this band once live and they were terrible. The guitar player was so strung out he was fucking up every other line. Boring, plodding, uninspired self-proclaimed "77 street punk." Good riddance. The bass player looks like a deformed Bruce Springsteen. 3+ Replies

This sucks im gonna go listen to Rumors and Headlines now. ~exploitedyouth~
cdogg (August 26, 2004)
FUCK! They were just starting to hit their stride. Rumors and Headlines was one of my favorite records from the past couple years. At least I got to see them with the Utters at the Pontiac in Philly 4/2003.

Sigh. This does suck. OMA has been one of the most underappreciated bands. I'll miss their live shows, they were always good.

I was never huge into this band, but "S.O.S." was a fucking brilliant song. -Scott

yet another one bites the dust. these guys were really good. i saw them a couple of times but the best was when they played with the Bouncing Souls and Flogging Molly three years ago. that was an awesome show! when i saw Green Day in San Francisco, i even bumped into Jack and Heiko in the crowd and we chatted for a bit. nice guys. this band will be missed...
UtterlyBrilliant (August 27, 2004)
This is shit news. The good bands always break up. The first comment to this topic is hillarious!
Someone (August 28, 2004)
imagine that most of the posters actually like this band. seem weird to anyone else?
Someone (September 23, 2004)
One of my favorite bands....corny to say that but they were. I saw them live a few times and they were great..warped tour included. I was one of like 10 people watching them while NOFX was playing the center stage anf Jack can real tear loose live and in person. I saw them later on and it was clear Jack is a raging abuser of the white bag....he was all blown out and ruined the show by being so F'ed up...so, if he could have kept his nose clean I think they could ahve been so much more....sad to see them go | Features

This should be of no surprise to anyone but it sucks nonetheless. I really figured that split with the Alkaline Trio would have broke this band. Particularly with having the entire 4.5 billion member Matt-Skiba-dancing-society exposed to your band.
