The Explosion filming video / new songs online

The Explosion are filming a video for "Here I Am" this weekend in Boston, MA. It's going to involve footage of the band performing a show and they want you in the audience. For details on how you can get involved head to the band's newly relaunched website.

Speaking of that website, on it you can preview new songs from the band's upcoming full length Black Tape. Head to the band's audio section to check out the songs "I Know", "Here I Am" and "Filthy Insane." You can check out the cover art and track listing there as well. Black Tape arrives in stores on October 5th from Tarantulas / Virgin.

"Filthy Insane" sounds more like the band's old material while "I Know" is more of a hard rock song. I have to say I really like everything I've herd from this record (including the uber-poppy "Here I Am"). I can't wait to hear the whole thing. -adam

Yeah, and "Deliver Us" is just a great anthem. I'm curious as to how the rerecording of "No Revolution" is going to sound, though.

I know is the only other new song that they played besides the single. I love this band. Any style they do I enjoy. Its going to be weird to have to share them in a few months. It looks like they're going to get a good push from their label. Barkley

If by "sell out" you mean "getting paid to do what they love to do" and "being able to afford to be human but making awesome music you will all listen to anyway" then yes, i guess they did sell out.
