The ShakeDowns new self-titled record arrives on October 5th. It was produced by Jack Endino, whose name you'll find in the credits to records from Nirvana, Mudhoney, Hot Hot Heat, Zeke and many others. To celebrate the band is throwing a CD release party on Saturday October 2nd at the Black Cat in Washington DC. They'll be playing as part of a VMS Records showcase that also features Electric Frankenstein and The Vote. You can preview the song "You'll Pop" on the band's MySpace site.

Just a last minute reminder that the insanely awaited CD release party will go down Saturday October 2 (that should be tomorrow for everyone) at the lovely and talented Black Cat (1811 14th St NW DC) so get yourselves down there to do at least one of four things:
1) get a copy of our new album that has no title
2) catch The Vote
3) catch our set which will be hilarious in its efforts
4) catch Electric Frankenstein
This reminder is sent to you more as a money-saving favor than anything else, really. Advance tickets are $8 but tickets at the door are $10. GO TO THE BLACK CAT AND GET TICKETS IN ADVANCE TO SAVE YOURSELF THE TWO BUCKS. Here's a statement directly from the Black Cat's site to explain how easy it is to do this:
"Tickets are available through Ticketmaster (202-432-SEAT or www.ticketmaster.c
