Tonight GTFU Radio will be holding a listening party for The Explosion's new record Black Tape. As well as playing the album they'll be giving away tickets to any of The Explosion's upcoming shows with Social Distortion and Tiger Army, swag from Tarantulas Records, and limited edition Tarantulas/GTFU shirts (limited to around 4 ever). The show is streaming tonight from 7-10PM PST on GTFUradio.com.

Yeah, I just heard this today and will say I am very dissapointed. It has a song off the previous full length album also. Kind of strange.

I can't resist buying Black Tape though, no matter what people tell me. "Here I Am" sure doesn't sound like the abrasive Explosion I've come to love from their Jade Tree releases. God I hope this album doesn't suck....

It's awesome. Tell them to shut up. I listened to it two and a half times at work today. It's a lot poppier, but it's very well-written. Like that "Tarantulas Attack" song was genius. Although very little as good as "Terrorist." 1+ Reply

That's all crap. This album is good. Sure its poppy, but it has an edge to it that you don't find in most pop punk stuff. I enjoy it.
