Five One announces 10th (Release) Anniversary Compilation

Five One Records has announced their unique 10th release anniversary compilation due out on November 2nd. The label asked their favorite songwriters from bands as diverse as Cave In, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Jejune, Pollen, Sparta, Cursive, No Knife and Hey Mercedes to contribute solo tracks to the record titled My Favorite Songwriters.

On Elvira Street – Ryan Ferguson (No Knife)
These Years – Jim Ward (Sparta)
Nekkikyu – Masafumi Isobe/Corner (Husking Bee)
Couple Next Door – Lars Heintz (Sister Sonny)
Stranger Than Strangers – Tim Kasher (Cursive/The Good Life)
Last Chance – Arabella Harrison (Jejune/The And Ors)
Water Me – Dan Hargest/Sextet (Pollen)
AM Jam – Derek Fudesco (Pretty Girls Make Graves)
Beautiful Break-up – Stephen Brodsky (Cave In)
Furimukuna by Hisashi Yoshino & M.A.G.O.(Eastern Youth)
Birthday #2 – Moonpedro and the New Farm Street Orchestra (Sister Sonny)
I'd Rather Be Wine Drunk – Robert Nanna/The City on Film (Braid/Hey Mercedes)

It would be even better if the info was correct. This is the 10th release for Five One, meaning it's their 10th release anniversary, not 10th anniversary. I think this label has only been around for 2 or 3 years at best. -jones the bones

i always found it a little ammusing/retarded when labels celebrate their nth release with their nth release. it seams like they should already have n solid releases before they make these comps in celebration its kind of cheating - jones the bones - stevejones8770@yahoo.com
