Bleeding Through sucks, I saw them Saturday night at the Masquerade. I was really disappointed. Me and my friends spent most of the time heckling them. Man they looked like Good Charlotte, another group of posers.

this magazine was so good then went straight down the shitter. its just a big ad. and what the fuck is with hawthorne heights getting the cover? it was the first time i didnt buy it.

Yeah, one big ad. It's like 250 pages, with 200 of that being content. I don't like Hathorn Hites either, but at least they gave an new upcoming band a chance. You would never see AP do that.

I'm not real into this cover choice either, but I will say that AMP is pretty damn consistant with their coverage of good bands. Plus there's like 130 bands in every issue, so there's usually something in there I'm stoked on.

Aubin, do you like the new Mono album? It's definitely the best one yet, but still a bit boring in places. At least they sound a bit less like Mogwai and a bit more like themselves.

I liked it a lot. It's got some dry moments, but it's great music to just relax to. Track 3 "Halcyon (Beautiful Days)" is one of the most amazing pieces of instrumental music I've ever heard. By the way, I'm glad someone got the weird title.

I hope this isn't what re-kindles it, but I must say that I am really glad that all of the AMP vs. Razorcake vs. MRR vs. AP shit has stopped. It sucked whern there was 100 comments, and 65 of them were people whom had only seen one of them was claiming it was far supirior to the others who sucked.

Tod from Razorcake actually writes stuff for AMP, and AMP is just as funny anyways. I do love Razorcake though. As far as PunkPlanet, what a piece of crap. It's just a bunch of wanna be intelect emo kids trying to sound as smart and depressed as they wish they were.

I know I'm just going to sound like an elitist, but this magazine needs to devote less time to selling issues to the little wannabe-punks whose favorite bands make the cover, and more writing articles with weight... None of these bands are new and fresh... Fuck, most of them aren't even "alternative"... -BSD

You know what... wanna be punks have no idea who Hot Water Music is, and they devoted over ten pages to this article in the print magazine. If that isn't an article with "weight", I'm not sure what is. Maybe you should go back to reading MRR where you have no idea who any of the bands they cover are so you can feel "punk"...

So, does this issue of AMP have anything to do with Mono in it? Doesn't look like it. Also, Mono now sounds more like Godspeed instead of Slint, which works in their favor in my opinion.
