I saw these guys last year. After hearing the album I wasn't impressed and almost left before they played. But the new stuff they played rocked!! I am looking foward to this release.

These guys are awesome. Too bad their guitarist left, he actually put some nice solo's on their first record.

Near Miss is LUCKY to sometimes the tag of being "ex-Bigwig." Say what you will about how nice people are. I'm not looking to be friends with bands. I don't need to do that in order to have a good sense of self. But just in terms of albums and shows... this band is a yawner. Bigwig is pretty damn fantastic when they (ie Tom) can get it together to write or have people nearby to play in the band.

Near Miss first cd was pretty good not great. BTW, Has anyone heard the new Unwritten Law cd yet??? I'm dying to know if it sounds more like Elva or their self titled. If it's like Elva I think I'll pass on it. 2+ Replies

These guys suck. I was so disappointed by GAOME. It's just super-bland pop punk with a bit of skate influences here and there. Bigwig are a million times better than these chumps. -Chinatown

this has to be the worst label ever. Their bands suck, their artwork sucks, and the band paying the bills suck. Fuck takeover. Near Miss sucks too in case you weren't paying attention. d 1+ Reply
