Bodyjar signs to Shock Records

Bodyjar has left EMI and signed to Australia-based indie Shock Records. The band posted this on their website:

The first single from the new self titled LP will be released in July with the LP to follow around September. At the moment "Lights out" & "Call To Arms" are being considered for the first single. [...] The plan is to release the new LP in NZ, Japan & South America with some touring to follow later. Keep an eye on the gig guide for the Australian tour dates. We can't wait.

The band released Time to Grow Up last year.

Saw 'em in '96-97. Really good. Bought Rimshot!, really liked it. Bought No Touch Red, didn't get into it. IT wasn't bad, but I just never felt compelled to listen to it. Good luck with the new contract.

Wasnt there a u.s tour with blink/silverchair/and bodyjar? I think it stopped at convention hall in asbury park nj...not sure.

I like this band. A lot. To me some of their newer stuff is actually better. How it Works is an amazing album I think, full of melancholy and melodies.. anyway, hope the new stuff is a mix between the old-school fast songs, and the newer sweet-ass melodic ones. For those doubting the past of this band, they are one of Burning Heart's past glories..

UMM They released time to grow up like 10 years ago dude! last year they released 'JARCHIVES' their best of album/dvd before that was 'PLASTIC SKIES' Time to grow up was like their first single back when they began

its a new release called time to grow up - looks like a 'best of' or something, check their website it was their last release im pretty sure. something about brazil i think.
