Astromagnetics posts new Secret Lives of the Freemasons video

AstroMagnetics, the label run by Marc of Eyeball Records and Geoff Rickly of Thursday has posted a new video from Secret Lives of the Freemasons. The song comes from their 2005 release This Was Built to Make You Dance.

I like the Circa record quite a bit. It's a bit too long-winded at points, but overall, I'd give it a 7/10, maybe 8/10 on a good day. -Scott

For being in a played out genre, this wasn't that bad. It reminds me of a tamer Glassjaw. The video was fine for me; I never saw the Spitalfield one.

i never saw the spitalfield one either...what song is it too? i was about to make fun of the way this video started ...walking up to their instruments and shit...then i realize its a joke...and its all pretty funny, until the singer says "lets do what we do" and what they do is as gay as the stuff they made fun of what with the rolling cameras and the fake lighting set up to make it seem like a set even though they were props' so it fails - jones the bones - stevejones8770@yahoo.com

It's about damn time someone realized that all the bands out now are just remakes off bands that have already been. This band doesn't just kind of sound like Glassjaw, but more like they are wanting to sound/be/ride the fame of Glassjaw's lead singer's voice(Daryl). I mean with this band's lead singer(Brien) obvioulsy being influenced by them and in the past having somewhat of an infatuation with Glassjaw, it is easy to see.It may be to just 'make you dance' but it seems more to me that it is to 'make money by ripping off a great band like Glassjaw who has already payed their dues and put there hard work into creating something original.' Hmmmmm I wonder if this band knows the meaning of original?!

what the fuck, they are a pretty good band. I think there is still room for a couple more GOOD screamo band. The only reason the genre is overcrowded is because people buy shit and Secret Lives aren't shit.
