While not strictly "punk", I found an article over at one of my favourite sites, suck.com that talks about vegetarianism, one of my favourite quotes from the funny article: "If AIDS is proof that God disapproves of homosexuality, where's Jerry Falwell when the bar-b-que goes bad? Indeed, between E. Coli, mad-cow syndrome, and the RBGH flap, you might get the idea that God moves not so much in mysterious ways as in bacterial ones. " Check it out, whether or not you subscribe to the 'nothing-with-a-shadow' lifestyle.

Didn't that "God" guy say that too...PETA ran an ad campaign on that very premise...it was really funny. Tofu is a lot tastier than people give it credit for...and it's a whole lot better than charred flesh.

Who said God created AIDS? People say that? God doesnt create diseases, he wouldnt want to kill homosexuals. AIDS came from monkeys or some animal like that, not God.

Exactly, people that arent homosexuals can get aids too. So that rules out that God created AIDS to get rid of homosexuals. Who ever came up with that is a homophobe. Also, You should respect my beliefs because I respect your beliefs. I didnt tell anyone that their is a God and you must worship him, I just put my opinion. To each his own.

Wouldn't it be funny if we started to see Lions and tigers creating large Factories and farms for the mass production and distribution of "etable" animals?? No it would be fucked up, huh? well not as such, because that's what we do. I've been trying to be a good vegan for about 4 years now, and i've been Vegetarian for almost 5. I'm not saying eating meat (and related products) is right or wrong. What i think is wrong, is the mass production, slaughter and distribution occuring everyday! The point of this article has sadly been forgotten in the rhetoric of the author. Animals aren't our bitches, we shouldn't eat them. You wouldn't dream of eating a dog because you grow up with them, well what if for some bizarre reason cows took the place of dogs? Would we all be enjoying grilled canine? Do what you will, it's your choice, but humans aren't even anatomically designed to eat animals. Flat teeth=herbivore. Why didn't the mighty god create us with fangs like the other carnivores of the animal kingdom?
