Murphy's Law live DVD, retrospective and covers disc

MVD has announced plans to release an DVD from long-running New York City-based Murphy's Law. Titled Up With Us, Down With Them, The eighteen track performance video is due out October 4th and was recorded at the Continental Club in New York City and at Rex's in West Chester, PA.

The band has also is currently working on a retrospective Best of Murphy's Law compilation The group has also announced a second DVD which aims to document the long history of the hardcore band. In addition, during their current touring break, the band is also compiling tracks for an upcoming covers compilation titled Waffle House.

The band's most recent studio release was 2001's The Party's Over.

only if we are lucky. i don't think i've ever seen a band get booed while they were playing and cheered while it was just the singer bullshitting on stage like they did on the hatebreed tour. they should release an album of his smack talking like sheer terror did

I want someone to explain this to me because I'm not sure I get it. The one time I saw this band they played about 40 minutes or so. In that time they played about 4 ska songs (with horns) and 2 "rockabilly" songs (with some guy filling in on standup bass), so why on earth are they considered a hardcore band?

the ska songs were from the mid 80's when it was more accepted to mess with different styles of music and they don't play anything that resembles rockabilly. i'm certain you saw someone else who played with them. if they spent more time throwing cans of beer around the stage and the singer talking smack on everything around them then actually playing, you might possibly have the right band but you definatly have some details mixed up there

I saw Murphys Law with Pennywise in toronto last year and I thought they made Pennywises performance look like shit compared to theirs, I never bought an album but now that I remember them I deffinatly will. By the way does any one else other than me think the bassist looks like he's from Cypress Hill. cp
