State of Mind signs Portugal's Day of the Dead

State of Mind Recordings has announced the signing of Day of the Dead. The Portgual-based hardcore act previous released Old Habits Die Harder via Third Party and will enter the studio later this month to begin work on A New Healing Process.

The band is aiming for a December 2005 or January 2006 release. You can check out three tracks from a previous Goodwill Records release on their media page.

finally some recognition to one of the finest portuguese hardcore bands. i wish them the best of luck, they do deserve it. and you all should check them out.

This will surely make Day of the Dead way more recongnizable though the world and will be a big step to make the portuguese scene more known outside our frontiers. And what a great band they are, hope they'll be sucessfull. I wish them the best of luck.

I got these guys' split 7" with the Damage Done in an ebay lot & it ended up being a surprise favorite. Great melodic hardcore, and a Los Crudos cover to boot.
