The Lido Venice have titled and set a tentative release date for their first full-length and followup to last year's Songs Written Around the Campfire in the Belly of a Whale EP. The band is about halfway through work on Swinging in the Breeze of the Death Machine, which will see a release on ECA Records April 28, 2006. An idea has been floated by both the label and band to print a limited run of 200 copies and then sell the record on iTunes and downloadpunk as a way to keep it "in print," but nothing is concrete at the moment.
The band had originally announced plans earlier this year to cease touring full-time and release a final EP for ECA, but then later reformed to record the full-length.
