Tours: Snack Truck / VCR Southeastern dates

Philadelpia/Virginia-based "noise-rock duo" Snack Truck have announced a week of Southeastern dates in the U.S. in November in support of last year's Perpetual Motion Machine-released debut full-length, Harpoon. Joining the band on all dates will be VCR, who is out in support of their recently reissued self-titled EP on SideOneDummy. Robotic Empire's recently signed Ultra Dolphins will join the tour for several dates as well.

The short swing includes an appearance at Gainesville, FL's The Fest 4 as well.

I'm sure it just indicates some of the members are from Philly and others from VA.

VA (Richmond mainly) has a weird vibe too in in relation to other scenes. It goes like this: Philly - Richmond - Gainesville Think about it. Take a Philly-esque group, mix em with a Gainesville sound, and you get a Richmond band.

I think that's because a lot of the Philly stuff is really an outreach from DC hardcore. But because Richmond is definitely more part "of the south" than DC, it gets the FLA influence. Personally, us folk from WV can't stand your slaveowning asses, but oh bla di.

Work. I'm knee-deep in a project that's been going on for MONTHS. But fear not, I'm going to 4 VERY good shows in the next two weeks, which should provide footage for some great bands. Its all about finding the time to upload to my PC, edit, and upload to a host. The host issue has also been somewhat of a problem. I was using archive.org, but lately, they've been concerned with copyright issues. So its been much more difficult to utilize them. Google Video is pretty decent, though its streaming, so the quality suffers.
