State of Mind signs Death Is Not Glamorous

State of Mind Recordings has announced the signing of Oslo, Norway's Death is Not Glamorous. The band claims Turning Point, Husker Du, Kid Dynamite and Dag Nasty among their influences and will release their debut EP for the label early next year.

An unmastered track from the EP can be found on their myspace page.

The band also released Demo 2005 online and that 26MB demo can be downloaded here.

Good pickup. State of Mind's really building a roster over there, or in the very least, a AAA one for the "majors" to harvest (Dead Hearts~Ferret, A Day In Black & White~Level Plane, eventually This Is Hell).

Death can actually be quite glamorous. If you get buried in a giant glittery piano for example (as Liberace should have). Or buried in a mink coat with two hookers, as I plain to go. So really this band should have done more research. -Dante

I bought that crazy knife set. You get like 100 kitchen knives for $40....best deal EVER. I want the Showtime Rotisserie badly. A lot of people in my office have one and swear by them.

The daughter I saw was short, with brown hair, and a weird face. His brother was actually peddling the knife set, not Ronny himself. (he made a guest appearance) I wads watching the history of Ronco on the Food Network. Apparently, his dad was big into this shit too (invented the chop-o-matic)
