State of Mind Recordings has announced the signing of Oslo, Norway's Death is Not Glamorous. The band claims Turning Point, Husker Du, Kid Dynamite and Dag Nasty among their influences and will release their debut EP for the label early next year.
An unmastered track from the EP can be found on their myspace page. The band also released Demo 2005 online and that 26MB demo can be downloaded here. State of Mind Recordings (37 comments)

Please tell me that name is mocking the whole "death/dead/murder in the band name" cliche.... 2+ Replies

This is great news! Also, I finally, after years of shitty luck missing them, saw Sick Of It All. One of the best live acts I've ever witnessed. 5+ Replies

Good pickup. State of Mind's really building a roster over there, or in the very least, a AAA one for the "majors" to harvest (Dead Hearts~Ferret, A Day In Black & White~Level Plane, eventually This Is Hell). 1+ Reply

Death can actually be quite glamorous. If you get buried in a giant glittery piano for example (as Liberace should have). Or buried in a mink coat with two hookers, as I plain to go. So really this band should have done more research. -Dante 2+ Replies
