SEG Toys plans line of My Chemical Romance action figures

Wildly popular goth-punk act, My Chemical Romance will be made available in pint-size format for Christmas. SEG Toys, who previously released exclusive doll/action figures of Green Day, The Offspring, AFI, Less than Jake, Metallica and Good Charlotte, will be creating the five inch tall versions of the band.

According to this story, the figures will have 16 points of articulation. Each member of the band is sold separately and will be packaged with a red handgun and a coffin as accessories. Versions of the figures sold at Hot Topic retailers will also be packaged with an exclusive "prayer card" that Way himself designed, while those sold at Spencer Gifts come with limited-edition Jim Dunlop guitar picks. Other retailers will stock the basic editions.

The band, which has publically discussed their "ultra-geekiness" and love for comic books and video games doesn't imagine fans will be surprised by the move. They released their breakthrough full length, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge last year

I would just like to point out that Metallica, Green Day, KISS, Sex Pistols, and the Ramones ALL have action figures or toys of some sort. The Ramones have a set of "toxic" miniature teddy bears! Basically, EVERY band that has hit in big in the last 30 years has a toy. So unless all bands are sell-outs people need to lay off of My Chemical Romance.

Yes...I totally agree with you!!! What is it with the fans of this genre of music??? I hate to break it to you, but ALL your favourite indie or underground bands have a wish...to make it big. No one wants to live at home with their mom and play gigs in their garage forever. Instead of calling them sell-outs when they get on much music and MTV be happy for them. YOU helped them reach their goal and make it big because YOU believed in their amazing music since the beginning. I am thrilled for MCR. I would just like to point out that Metallica, Green Day, KISS, Sex Pistols, and the Ramones ALL have action figures or toys of some sort. The Ramones have a set of "toxic" miniature teddy bears! I can't fucking stand My Chemical Romance. They once used to be the band that saved me, and I loved way before they sold out. They're cheap bastards who are making these action figures... really, what a way to MAKE A BAND SELL OUT. They're too mainstream, they're videos are cheesy as it and they remind me of a washed up version of the Backstreet Boys.
