Sickboi has produced yet another clip from his extensive library. This week it's Whole Wheat Bread, performing "Broke", off of Minority Rules, live in Richmond. The band is currently touring with the Suicide Machines and Stretch Arm Strong.

Hm. Alright. I understand what you mean. It wasn't so much a laugh at their expense, but a laugh at the absurdity of it. I picture those same guys going "You've gotta die, gotta die, gotta die for your government!" and it just looks funny. In any case, I should have phrased it better.

thats not what they are saying. they are commenting about how every press release/write up/blurb/ whatever that they put out makes sure to mention that these are black dudes. why? because more than half of the people that see it wouldnt care about this music otherwise

It's not cuz their black. It's cuz they dress like "thugs", I believe. I think they are a gimmick. And I heard them before I saw them live. And hated them then. Just boring, predictable high school punk. Grow up, kids.

They do make a point of it, though. They sell T-shirts that say "I love black people". Their cd is called Minority Rules. They are just regular guys who like pop punk who happen to be black, but it is part of their marketability, so they do intentionally play it up.

Minority Rules is seriously one of the best pop-punk albums I've heard in a while. It's too bad these guys are being dismissed as a gimmick band.
