The United Kingdom's dBd (death by decibels) have signed to
SOS Records. The band formed in 2002 and previously released the EPs, This Time and Rise As One. They describe themselves as "classic old school punk rock combined with anthemic modern day influences, killer lyrics and shades from a metallic past."
The label plans to release Nobody's Heroes shortly and you can check out four songs on their myspace page. SOS Records (35 comments)

Fuck me... these guys live right near me. The singer for our band does all their media work etc so this is strange seeing 'em up here. Great band. Really really good. Despite them ripping off "Bro Hymn". Good luck lads

Is it just me or is the name not a complete rip off of death by stereo. 8+ Replies

The one guitar player looks like someone that used to be in a band down here.

Shouldn't "Death By Decibels" be dbdB, not dBd? That acronym doesn't make any sense. 4+ Replies

Hey guys it's froj from dbd here. Cheers for the support from the positive comments, and thank god someone finally noticed about death by stereo, would you believe these are the first comments?... Here's the story, simple really: When I was 14,15 and me and tidz were talking of starting a band I did not listen to hardcore and had not heard of death by stereo, by the time I got into hc at all we had 2 EPs out and enough media attention to rule out name changes. We don't actually use death by decibels (In the same way AFI don't use a fire inside, or even Asking for It) apart from the website address nowadays, and the acronym is not incorrect (the lower case and capitals are irrelevant) because the Initial of decibesl is d, the symbol used for identifying it is dB but that is not it's initial. Guilty as charged but blissfully ignorant, so can we all have a pint and get show rest of comment 3+ Replies

I say congrats to dBd (how theyre known now) for getting signed to SOS,what astep for a local band!!!! OI OI!!!!! 2+ Replies
