dBd (death by decibels) sign to SOS records

The United Kingdom's dBd (death by decibels) have signed to SOS Records. The band formed in 2002 and previously released the EPs, This Time and Rise As One. They describe themselves as "classic old school punk rock combined with anthemic modern day influences, killer lyrics and shades from a metallic past."

The label plans to release Nobody's Heroes shortly and you can check out four songs on their myspace page.

Fuck me... these guys live right near me. The singer for our band does all their media work etc so this is strange seeing 'em up here. Great band. Really really good. Despite them ripping off "Bro Hymn". Good luck lads

Why is it a rip off? How many other bands have names similar to each other!! I seem to remember a band long before Death by Stereo called Death by desire. I wouldnt say that Death by Stereo ripped theses guys off. A names just a name guys. I also notice that Death by Decibels also choose to go by the abreviation dBd not actually death by decibels. Its about the music guys and nothing else.Shame on you

or dri, or doa, or any of the countless bands that use "death" in their name. give it a rest, 3 letter abbreviations/allusions to death have been around long before the idea for dbs was conceived.

give it a rest, 3 letter abbreviations/allusions to death have been around long before the idea for dbs was conceived. see the /? see the things in order as to where they were in the first sentence? its not that difficult to decipher.

i think he is talking about the "death by" and then some form of audio. not that using death or a three letter acronym that starts with d is ripping off dbs and in which case, who can say what they were thinking when they named themselves, but it is a little too close for comfort

Hey guys it's froj from dbd here. Cheers for the support from the positive comments, and thank god someone finally noticed about death by stereo, would you believe these are the first comments?... Here's the story, simple really: When I was 14,15 and me and tidz were talking of starting a band I did not listen to hardcore and had not heard of death by stereo, by the time I got into hc at all we had 2 EPs out and enough media attention to rule out name changes. We don't actually use death by decibels (In the same way AFI don't use a fire inside, or even Asking for It) apart from the website address nowadays, and the acronym is not incorrect (the lower case and capitals are irrelevant) because the Initial of decibesl is d, the symbol used for identifying it is dB but that is not it's initial. Guilty as charged but blissfully ignorant, so can we all have a pint and get

haha,i love how everyones just gone off on one arguing about grammar,lol,grammar of all things!!!oi fucking oi! i know these guys personally and can tell you for a fact that death by decibels has nothing to do with death by stereo, except mildly similar sounding names,oooh,as if no-one in the industry has ever come up with a name that sounds similar to someone elses!!! I say congrats to dBd (how theyre known now) for getting signed to SOS,what astep for a local band!!!! OI OI!!!!!
