Colossal, the Killing Tree, Methadones, Felix Culpa, Allister, more to appear on Thick ‘Hair’ comp

Amidst all the snow and wind, Chicago's Thick Records are busy putting together a new compilation. The album is titled Hair - Chicago Punk Cuts and will feature 15 Chicago-based bands. So far, the label is reporting that Allister, Break The Silence, Colossal, The Killing Tree, the Methadones, Much The Same and the Felix Culpa will be contributing tracks, each one an album exclusive.

The album will feature the last Colossal track written with former singer Jason Flaks who left the band earlier this year.

The label is expecting to make the album available on the 2006 Warped Tour.

Yes because good bands have NEVER played Warped Tour, NEVER ever ever ever EVER!!! Any label that gives out compilations at Warped Tour have got to have shit bands because only Victory, Drive-Thru, and Trustkill bands have ever played Warped Tour thus meaning Warped=Shit bands!!! but being named die die die is a literary achievement to last the ages i'm sure. colossal and the killing tree alone make this worth it in my book, and neither have played warped tour. however, having a compilation - that will almost certainly be very reasonably priced - released in time for warped tour is a great way to get it out to a ton of kids who don't neccesarily have decent record stores to buy their aus rotten and clit 45 records at.

That interview could be the greatest piece of journalism thus far in the 21st century or dare I say, the new millenium. I really see Scott asking good questions. One, because he's smart. In my long collection of old AP magazine issues (yes I've saved all of them) the Insane Clown Posse ones are the ones I look back and laugh at the most... If there's one magazine that has had some very fucked up directions in their music coverage over the years it's been AP. I seriously think AP should interview them again for shits and giggles...

I think the Lasalle record is great. Mike Reed's voice reminds me a bit of Scott Lucas from Local H. If you like Fingers Cut Megamachine, you should maybe try Hanalei too.
