Pulley vocalist Scott Radinsky has been tapped by the Cleveland Indians baseball organization to be their pitching coach for their double A team the Aeros. He was also recently named as pitching coach for the USA in the upcoming World Baseball Classic.

Congratulations go out to Scott. Speaking of the WBC, Clemens should just pitch there and quit. He has no gas in his tank. Ramo

Wow - not only AA pitching coach, but pitching coach for USA in the WBC? Shit, that's awesome for Scott! Too bad us Pulley fans are shit outta luck for awhile. ;)

i've actually seen the Aeros play against the Binghamton Mets. i think the Mets won, i was drunk and don't remember. regardless, that's awesome for him. i've read interviews and know he loves baseball as much as music, so i'm sure he's thrilled. though i would argue he's a bit better at rocking the fuck out. i do want a new Pulley album though :(

I'm quite happy to see so many people supportive, and not spouting off negative bullshit. It makes me want to give Pulley a listen, and I've only heard them maybe once before.

I love to hear about people that are pasionate about punk rock and yet have very strong feelings in a completely unrelated field as well. (note: this is NOT by any means a tooting my own horn thing, just an example) I have been in various punk rock bands for years but have remained constant in my job as a recreational therapist. Maybe that's why I relate to Scott so much. P.S. I agree with many other people, "Maters" is amazing.

I just got their "Beyond Warped" dual disc in the mail yesterday, and it's great. Since I'm pretty sure I'll never get to see them live, the DVD segment of it was awesome. Everyone should go pick it up.

oh, and while we're on a sports related topic: the Knicks are absolutley awful. i say they're the second worst team in the NBA, with only the Raptors giving them any real contention for the title. yes, the Hawks are better. i don't get how a team can be so fundamentally terrible... oh wait, yes i do, it's called having Marbury on your team. when he's not on the floor the Knicks are so much better, especially when Nate Robinson seems to be able to run the point infinitley better than him. Frye and David Lee are really good too, and i'd hate to lose any of them for Artest, but goddamn they need to do something. maybe something heavy will fall on Marbury and kill him so he can come off the cap. Eddie Curry too, what the fuck is he doing, i notice he's playing maybe twice a game, he's fucking invisible, which i guess i better than my constantly bitching for Marbury to give the ball to someone else. i also wanna know what happens in the second half of every game. do they all go and smoke the fattest L of beasters ever during halftime? i don't get it. and where's this supposed defense Larry Brown? Charles Smith played better D against the Bulls back in the day, and HE WASN'T ALLOWED WITHIN 5 FEET OF JORDAN. basketball is my least favorite sport, but jesus chirst they're awful. your thoughts, comments and insults are welcome.

I'm boycotting the WBC until they allow Cuba to play. It's just that I didn't know Mccarthyism was still around because really, the Treasury Department? Are you fucking kidding me?
Someone (December 15, 2005)
Seeing that Scott will be working in Akron, OH, maybe he'll actually play a show with Pulley in Cleveland. They are one band I've always wanted to see live. If enough Pulley fans heckle Scott at the Aeros games maybe they'll play.
Someone (December 15, 2005)

Someone (December 15, 2005)

Someone (December 15, 2005)
This guy seriously has my dream life. He plays baseball during the season, then tours with Pully all offseason (well, at least they used to). I can't imagine a better life than that. Growing up I used to say, I want to be just like Scott Radinsky.
localh (December 15, 2005)
Good work Scotty but please do one U.S tour with Pulley before you hang it up. I have not heard Matters but esteem driven engine,@#!*,60 cycle hum, andtogether again are all fucking sweet cd's...
Someone (December 15, 2005)
He was the pitching coach for the single A Lake County Captains for the Indians last year. The Cleveland Plain Dealer did a really awesome fully page story on him and how he shares his time between baseball and Pulley. It looks like he's on the track to be a major league coach, and I'd be damn happy if he's the head pitching coach in Cleveland someday.
Someone (December 16, 2005)
Whatever dudes, all that matters is Rich Harden, Jeff Francis, Eric Bedard and Eric Gagne on the mound, and Jason Bay at the plate and Corey Koskie striking out a ton and sliding headfirst into first base. Go Canada! 2nd in Group B!

Would it be inappropriate to gloat about getting to see Pulley live here? I saw them with Voodoo Glow Skulls about 4 years back... they were good even though it sometimes felt they played slightly loosely/out of synch. |

I listened to Matters today for the first time in awhile. Good CD.
