Scott Radinsky back in baseball

Pulley vocalist Scott Radinsky has been tapped by the Cleveland Indians baseball organization to be their pitching coach for their double A team the Aeros. He was also recently named as pitching coach for the USA in the upcoming World Baseball Classic.

Pulley is currently hibernating after releasing Matters in 2004.

While Clemens still is good i am not really sure if he will retire. There are a few teams trying to lure him there, and unless Drayton wants to pay another 18 million i doubt Clemens vow to help out his hometown team will last.

He coached the A-ball team for Cleveland all last year and also coached the minor league version of WBC in Amsterdam a couple months ago. That's definitely experience.

i've actually seen the Aeros play against the Binghamton Mets. i think the Mets won, i was drunk and don't remember. regardless, that's awesome for him. i've read interviews and know he loves baseball as much as music, so i'm sure he's thrilled. though i would argue he's a bit better at rocking the fuck out. i do want a new Pulley album though :(

i'd recommend starting with "Esteem Drive Engine" or "Matters". both fantastic cds. their other stuff is great too, " @#!* " (self titled, whatever) and "60 Cycle Hum" in particular. in fact i think only TAftFT is their only album that's not great all the way though. go listen to 'If', 'Gone', 'Stomach Aches' or 'One Shot'. go from there.

One Shot owns. Touched is one of the best songs on TAFTFT. Matters is a really good record, though. Blindfold is awesome and the guitar solo in Huber Breeze rips.

i don't think there's one song on 'Matters' that i don't abolutely love. it's one of those cds where when each song comes on you just are so happy to be listening to it. 'Hooray for Me' is really good too, i think that's on TAftFT. the part where he goes "what can i say that i haven't said before." never ceases to make me rock out.

damnit Pulley is one of my favorites...it just makes me sad i've never been able to see them because they never tour. or at least never tour anywhere but california. i'd drive about 5 hours to see Pulley, that's for sure. and they've never made a bad album, or even come close. every single one of their cds is fucking awesome, but i would agree that Together Again for the First Time is the weakest...but even that has some of their best songs. -phdecontrol

I love to hear about people that are pasionate about punk rock and yet have very strong feelings in a completely unrelated field as well. (note: this is NOT by any means a tooting my own horn thing, just an example) I have been in various punk rock bands for years but have remained constant in my job as a recreational therapist. Maybe that's why I relate to Scott so much. P.S. I agree with many other people, "Maters" is amazing.

I just got their "Beyond Warped" dual disc in the mail yesterday, and it's great. Since I'm pretty sure I'll never get to see them live, the DVD segment of it was awesome. Everyone should go pick it up.

oh, and while we're on a sports related topic: the Knicks are absolutley awful. i say they're the second worst team in the NBA, with only the Raptors giving them any real contention for the title. yes, the Hawks are better. i don't get how a team can be so fundamentally terrible... oh wait, yes i do, it's called having Marbury on your team. when he's not on the floor the Knicks are so much better, especially when Nate Robinson seems to be able to run the point infinitley better than him. Frye and David Lee are really good too, and i'd hate to lose any of them for Artest, but goddamn they need to do something. maybe something heavy will fall on Marbury and kill him so he can come off the cap. Eddie Curry too, what the fuck is he doing, i notice he's playing maybe twice a game, he's fucking invisible, which i guess i better than my constantly bitching for Marbury to give the ball to someone else. i also wanna know what happens in the second half of every game. do they all go and smoke the fattest L of beasters ever during halftime? i don't get it. and where's this supposed defense Larry Brown? Charles Smith played better D against the Bulls back in the day, and HE WASN'T ALLOWED WITHIN 5 FEET OF JORDAN. basketball is my least favorite sport, but jesus chirst they're awful. your thoughts, comments and insults are welcome.

Believe it or not the Knicks were actually favored by 3 over Orlando last night. The Yes network was having an auction throughout that game last night and I think the linesmakers were donating to me with that line. Brown will always be overrated (look at how the Pistons are playing even better now under Saunders). Curry is absolutely awful but the guy they traded him for, Tim Thomas, has been so bad that the bulls already deactivated him. The Nate Robinson pick was so stupid because they didn't need any guards if they were gonna stick with Crawford and Marbury. Don't get me wrong, I love Robinson and have since he was tearing up the PAC 10 last year, but they didn't need him. I'm also not sure New York City is the best place for Artest, but if they could swing a deal that didn't give up Frye or Robinson I'd like it. It couldn't make them worse. I don't even want to start with Marbury (he is actually on my pn.org fantasy team and I've offered like 10 trades since the start of the season for him). Honestly between the Nets and the Knicks I don't understand how anybody in that area could still be an NBA fan just watching those two teams. The NBA is my favorite sport. So much so that me and my 2 roomates actually split like $180 for the "full court" t.v. package where we get all the games. We just get drunk and watch NBA games that we bet on every night. We've even come up with like 15 awesome "NBA watching drinking games."

i wanted that CLyde Fraiser autographed bobblehead, and i think it was on MSG, not YES. i really like the Robinson acqusition, just because we already ahd Frye, and i really don't know who else we could have gotten that would have been a difference maker. i think Brown is overrated, but i don't think the Pistons prove it, i think he set them up extremely nicely and they'd be awful right now if he hadn't been there. keep in mind that back in early summer brown wanted Tim and Kurt Thomas to start, along with Mike Swetney. I was once a Knicks fan since the last time Jeff Van Gundy took them to the postseason. Larry Brown's method is very unorthodox to the Knicks because I bet they haven't come across a guy like that. This is what I'll do: - Keep Frye. Don't worry. Ain't no way any of the Knicks brass are going to trade a potential Rookie Of The Year. He's the reason why I still look at the team, to see how well he's playing. - Concentrate on Nate Robinson - Get rid of Quentin and keep Crawford - In the meantime, get rid of Maurice Taylor, Penny, Jerome James, Antonio Davis - Get Artest. It's a risk but you're 6-15. What the fuck you have got to lose? If anyone can keep a check on him, it's Larry Brown. The Knicks can be rebuilt. Look at the Mets. Omar Minaya has done a great job. i agree with everything excpet concentrating on Crawford over Richardson, Crawford has consistently missed the big shot, and although i hate using the 3 as a crutch, only Q can shoot it right now. - In the meantime, get rid of Maurice Taylor, Penny, Jerome James, Antonio Davis yes, for the love of god please do. throw Jackie Butler in there too. and obviously Marbury. as far as the Mets, i'm not sure how i feel about their moves, though i gotta say Billy Wagner will be the best closer ever to play in Queens, for whatever that's worth. Delgado will be sick until he inevitably ceases to care. Loduca is an awesome game manager and i think there will be a noticable difference. i'm really pissed we didn't get Furcal, but score me Zito and one more bat (go ahead and start Lasting Milledge even), and get Matsui the fuck off the team... at that point i'll be willing to start worrying about who's coming out of the AL to face us in late October.

90-96 White Sox 96-98 Dodgers 99-00 St. Louis i'm pretty sure he finished in Cleveland for a few games in 01, but i'm not sure. i didn't even have to look that up, i'm such a baseball loser.

He was the pitching coach for the single A Lake County Captains for the Indians last year. The Cleveland Plain Dealer did a really awesome fully page story on him and how he shares his time between baseball and Pulley. It looks like he's on the track to be a major league coach, and I'd be damn happy if he's the head pitching coach in Cleveland someday.
