PunkRocks.net writes "After a couple years of breakup, and no official tour for their final album, "I Hate Us," Al Nolan has rounded up some new guys to get out on the road and finally do that "I Hate Us" Tour. Al explains, "I have put together a new version of Trigger Happy, featuring some excellent musicians. Each guy was part of the family, without being in the band. Like most people, I would usually bum out on a band with only one original member, but you should know that Mark, Ruston, & Johnny have all moved on to happier and more satisfying things. And I'm happy for them." It looks like the almighty has turned into the vengeful ... Trigger Happy are one of the most underappreciated hardcore punk bands around."
Trigger Happy are definately one of those bands that has been look over by the punk rock royalty and it is really good to see them back in some form. Just a few more additions to the T.H. family..." Trigger Happy are great... I remember Al helped me out with one of my first interviews when I was doing a tiny little zine with 250 copies every two or three months. Pretty cool guy too, he snowboarded professionally for awhile, and he worked at some of the better skate shops here in Toronto... and yeah, they are too good to be so underrated. I remember when Al hit someone in the audience in the face with his dick in the middle of a set. Hey Al Rogers pass. C-C-C-Craaash?

I once saw Al take a BIG crap back stage, pull it out of the toilet and bring it on stage with him to show the audience b/c someone was making fun of him. PLus i don't think al ever snowboarded professionally.. he did however work for arnette for a while.. 1+ Reply

I think to use the same name as your old band, you should at least keep one other member. this is like jesse michaels calling common rider 'operation ivy' or something...well maybe not that drastic, trigger happy is way less significant than opiv. 2+ Replies

I don't know if trigger happy would call themselves hardcore, and i thought they were definitely one of the best bands from the GTA... anyways, i remember al used to work at faktory and he gave me a free comp once. thus goes my TH story

Al Nolan recently fronted another band....the Downbelows. They were kinda old-school punk, nothing like T.H. I saw them in London a few months ago, and didn't think all that highly of them. But I do remember Al having quite a stage presence, even with the sparse crowd. And that trick with the mic stand....mindblowing! 2+ Replies

Trigger Happy was the first punk show I was ever at, when they played with Bracket and SNFU in Ottawa. I hope that they get a bit more attention now than they did before...that was the main reason they called it quits. Can't wait to see them again!

This band is/was really overlooked. Sure they were'nt breaking any new ground or anything..but great none the less. The latest stuff they released was definately better...more "hardcore" (as we all read somebody apparently hates the whole hardcore/punk mix thing). Always in heavy rotation at my place.
