: what the fuck is this a letter writing campaign to tell someone an album they made years ago is good. come on people kirby puickett has one eye and needs to be on the AL all star team as an outfeilder so vote for him at www.vote.mlb.com . give him some write in votes for outfeild in the american league and please go to games and vote a few hundred times a night. save democracy and show the world what can happen when the kids get behind something. it'll serve as practice for the next presidential election and probably save democracy!!! NOW THIS IS REAL NEWS!!

I have NO idea why Kirby Puckett is such a concern to alot of people here (or at least one very vocal person)... and while my limited musical knowledge dosen't make the punk rock / puckett connection... here's the post... now shut up unless Puckett somehow reunites the Clash.

Puckett is connected because of baseball's connection to punk rock. People like Scott Randinsky, and even the guys of rancid(who played warped in philly the same day as the dodgers played the phillies in philly, and made remarks to the crowd). Since punk rock's hey days always involve the summer time, and so does baseball, it just goes hand in hand. If you check out the baseball hats at shows, most people will tell you that they wear the hat because they wanna support the team, although some dumb hardcore kids will wear it sideways and have their local radius of being's local team (like many of the philly ninth circle kids wearing phillies hats, when they couldn't be able to tell charlie hayes and von hayes apart, which is incredibly easy! Yeah, well look at what A-Rod has done this year. He just commited his 9th error of the year, and he only did that 10 times last year (commit errors that is). He's an over paid name really. His team sucks now since they don't have any pitching. But look at the clubs that are doing good, like Phillies, with rookie Jimmy Rollins. The man is the turn of the century term for blue collar, "ghetto", and revels in it. Not many other players have corn rows on the diamond. And he drives a beat up car, it's great. And players like Edgar Martinez, who is the best DH ever to play the game, but no one really knows this guy unless they know the game well enough, or play enough of the latest baseball video games. Mike Piazza is another wash up this year, finally getting into the swing of things and hitting well, although his team still is crap. Players like Meintkiewi

baseball fucking sucks. I don't see any punk rock kids around here wearing baseball caps. you make it sound like one cannot be punk rock unless they like baseball, ya fuckin' tard. If you enjoy the sport, good for you, but I see no connection in the least between baseball and punk rock. Baseball and Punk connected because of Scott Randinsky? I love pully, but that does not connect the two. Dexter Holland form the Offspring has a PHD in mircobiology, does that form a connection between punk rock and mircobiology? Yeah, I've been to a lot of games this year, including one to see JD Drew do nothing, and a double header that the Phils swept over the Pirates, sitting next to some weirdos from Chicago that talked all funny and got pretty drunk. Go baseball fans! Oh, I'm saying this because i don't care if the drummer from blink, or ex drummer from aquabats (who are equally bad), went. Being in a known band definetly does not make you punk. How about Bad Religion's "A Walk" song being played in the Anaheim Angels games when someone gets a walk? That's defenitly more punk. Damn, I said it, more punk, I may aswell die now.

I said connection between the twon based on blue collar stuff first. People like Bruse Springsteen, who directly influenced the Bouncing Souls. Also people like Johnny Cash, who's more of a tough guy than any of that pitboss shit. You probably don't like sports just because you listened to Kev Seconds say it in a nice packaged quick song for you, but that's just one man's opinion. Reasons not to like sports, jocks. I understand, but not every athlete is a jock, and not every jock is an athlete. Kirby Puckett is one of the best people of our time. Punk or not, it's Kirby. Give good ol' one-eye a chance to play baseball again. Uh yeah Scott Radinsky is the singer for Pulley and he's also a really good MLB relief pitcher.

Radinsky did play for the Cardinals but he got hurt last year and im not sure he's on the team anymore or in the minors.
