Red Animal War offers alternative album mixes; promises nine videos on the CD

Red Animal War and their label, End Sounds, have posted two free alternate mixes of songs from the band's forthcoming album, Seven Year War which is due out March 21, 2006. The mixes were originally slated to appear on the album, however the final versions of the songs were additionally remixed and remastered by David Rieley (Billy Corgan, Tonic).

You can check them out here: "The Gaelic Intake (Non-Album Mix)" and "Do You Have Any Idea (Non-Album Mix)."

In addition, the band has posted some information about the enhanced CD portion of the album, promising that it will include nine music videos as well as additional alternate mixes of material.

The album is the follow up to 2004's Polizida.

I loved the first two records, and the split with Slowride. Polizida just didn't catch on with me. Looking forward to hearing how this one turns out.

i absolutely loved all of the albums they have released thus far, but some of the songs they posted online a while ago (some of which are on this ) kind of weirded me out. i hope this is good. this band never seems to play any shows outside of texas.

Mabye, but i think that post punk in the vein of Jawbox with some emo influences might also a pretty good description.

Jawbox and Fugazi in a fist fight with Hot Water Music with the music talent of the Beatles. Very very good musicians and one of the best live bands around.

This band is one of the most underrated and talented bands around. i desperately want them to hit the west coast. the new album looks to be incredible.
