The new live concert movie from the inimitable Andrew W.K. will be premiered in New York City on February 3rd and 4th at the Pioneer Theatre. Andrew himself will be on hand for the screenings, performing a solo-keyboard set for attendees. The film documents the frontman's live shows from 2000 to 2004 and is narrated by the infamously positive vocalist. We announced the details of the release late last year, although the packaging has undergone a redesign since then.
Andrew has long been at work on his third album, the follow up to 2003's The Wolf. It is expected sometime in the near future on an unannounced label. Music Video Distributors will release the DVD on February 7th. The label is currently running a contest to give away tickets to the screenings. There's a week left before winners are announced so check the above link for your chance to enter. Music Video Distributors (31 comments)

So AWK's new album is on a yet-to-be-determined label? Anybody have any guesses as to which one? 1+ Reply

I am not understanding the choice of word in "infamous". infamous has a negative meaning. Al Capone is infamous because there is a negative view towards him. I do not see A.W.K or his positive attitude as being seen in a negative way.

AWK is awesome live and 'I Get Wet' encompases this feeling. True, The Wolf was a bit of a letdown, but it has a few good'ns on it. More mature, and more immature at the same time. 'You Will Remember Tonight' melds the two albums feels together, making it godly. This track takes a bit of getting into. but once you do? DAMN its enjoyable. BRING ON THE AWK.

I want him to just redo I GET WET but change the songs names, and I'd buy it. I listened to that CD today and it's amazing.
