Tours: The Hellacopters plan March tour of the US

Sweden's Hellacopters have announced their first US tour in three years. The band will be supporting their Liquid and Poker full length, Rock And Roll Is Dead. The album is the follow up to their 2004 release, By the Grace of God.

i might just be drunk but is that a lame name for a band or what? i mean i shouldn't poke fun, it's not like any other band these days with their death analogies and stupid extended song titles can match it, but come on, there's equal beauty in both brevity and... not being punny.

no death analogies. the pun is with "hella" .... like when gwen stefani says she's feelin' "hella good" so she's going to keep on dancing.

these dudes have been around since at least 95, at least that's when i heard of them... though i think maybe even farther before that since my hearing of a band is not the measure of their existance. anyway, i think we can give em a pass based on longevity... and the fact that Swedish people think it's clever.

Some of the guys were in Entombed (a death metal band) Eventhough the name isn't a death reference, they should get the "get out of cliche" card because of that alone.

Hellacopter's singer, Nicke Andersson, was the drummer (and songwriter) of Entombed.
