Popular metal/hardcore site Lambgoat has launched their new label, Lambgoat Records. According to the site, "the label doesn't intend to stray from the genres typically covered by Lambgoat.com, but will attempt to avoid duplicating avenues previously traveled."

As first order of business, the label has signed St. Louis, Missouri-based Lye By Mistake. The group is described as "combining elements of metal, fusion, and jazz, fans of such diverse artists as Dillinger Escape Plan, Mr. Bungle, and John McLaughlin should find something to enjoy." The album was recorded by Jim Callahan (Story Of The Year), mixed by Eric Rachel (Every Time I Die, God Forbid), and mastered by Alan Douches (Mastodon, Converge).

You can check out some music on their myspace page.

With a freshly inked distribution deal with Lumberjack Mordam, the label will release the band's full length, Arrangements For Fulminating Vective on May 9th.
