The MILKY WAYS come from outter space to kick yer rock'n'roll ass! Throbbing with profound, psyched out and ceaseless beats, the MILKY WAYS unleash a debut album blistering with deviant sound. Deranged action on keys and drums, flooded with noisy guitar licks and sniveling verse, seductive and relentless, this is THE ultimate punk party courtesy of Coco Khan, Oily Chi, Choyce and Dan Pedro...

Alive Records has signed Montreal's Milky Ways. The band features veterens of a number of Montreal garage punk acts including Coco Khan (Del Gators, sister of King Khan), Oily Chi (Sexareenos), Choyce (Spaceshits) and Dan Pedro (Daylight Lovers). The band's self titled debut album is due in late May or early June. From the label's press release:

This should be some good shit! Les Sexareenos were one of my favorite bands of the late 90's/early 00's, and Spaceshits are one of the best punk bands ever. Del Gators weren't no joke either. Montreal's been really good lately for the garagey-punk...and not in the limp brown leather jacket MTV2 Detroit Spin Magazine "We're garage, give us coke" way either.
