Rise signs The Devil Wears Prada

Rise Records has signed Dayton, Ohio-based The Devil Wears Prada. The band previously released Patterns of a Horizon and will be releasing their debut in July via Rise.

anyone wanna be in a metal band? to differentiate ourselves from the rest of evertyhing-that-sounds-the-same, we'll add.. keyboards! that's it! if you think you know what a scale is and wear girls pants, then you're already in. we should probably limit ourselves to about 7 members, though. but i hear if our music is bad enough, we'll automatically get a contract to victory. so who's in?

Actually, it is legit: HOT WATER MUSIC and AS I LAY DYING are both book names, too. http://publaw.com/titles.html While the copyright law will generally protect the contents of a book, the title of that particular book will not be protected. The purpose of the copyright law is to protect the author's creative expression. Although nothing in the Copyright Act specifically precludes protection for titles, Copyright Office Regulations and judicial decisions have made it clear that titles are only the equivalent of short slogans and therefore a title does not contain sufficient expression to be worthy of copyright protection.

Finally someone who knows what they are listening to. Thank you. personally i think on Dear love a Beautiful Discord if you listen to the cd from song 7 through to the end it is nothing short of amazing. their talen doesnt show that most of the band is still in fucking HIGH SCHOOL

This is Daniel. I started the band. the only EX members of TDWP are evin and syrup. I do however know who you are, so quit claiming to be in the band. Someone else told me you said you were in the band before as well. Quit trying to be something you never were.

Chris and I were the first band members.

Not to mention, complexity? Who said we were claiming to be complex? Complexity doesnt make music good. there are tons of ridiculously TALENTED musicians that cant write music for anything. Its all about song structure and writing abilities.

That poster that said he was in the band is lying. Daniel, Chris and James are the original starting band members. Get your facts straight, Mr. High School.

There's a couple of kids that are just JEALOUS of their overnight success. Two of the band members are still in high school and most of these posters are kids that don't get along with them for whatever reason.

Um...grow up already.

They are VERY nice guys and they have a boatload of talent. That's the kind of thing that makes the no-so-nice kids with no talent post ugly things.
