Toys That Kill have announced some details about their upcoming full length. The album, titled Shanked! is due out May 9th and follows both the Flys EP released in 2004 via Asian Man and the Don't Take My Clone 7-inch released in 2005 on Dirtnap.
The band is also planning a few release shows. The first, set for May 19th at Harolds in San Pedro, CA with both Mike Watt and Swing Ding Amigos along. June 9th will see the band perform at Gilman St. alongside the Fleshies who will be celebrating their own release. A third record release show is planned for June 18th and will also celebrate the 100th release from Recess. Following that, the band is planning a short tour in July. Recess Records (31 comments)

The "Don't Take my Clone" 7" is great stuff. I like it better than 'Control the Sun.' 1+ Reply

Even though this band is musically better than FYP, I still like FYP more. Can't beat "Fuck You and a Half."

I had never even heard of FYP (and still haven't gotten around to really checking them out) but I quite like Toys That Kill. 'Control the Sun' is a nearly flawless record and I love the band's visual aesthetic. 2+ Replies

Control the Sun was an alright CD, though the last 3-4 songs on it were totally disposable. I don't really hear the D4 influence either; at times these guys sound like hicks. 3+ Replies

TTK is such a good band. Control The Sun was such an awesome record plus last time I saw them was when they toured with no other than D4. And it was fan-frickin'-tastic. | Features
