Punk Core to issue Casualties "Best Of" collection, remastered albums

Punkcore has announced plans to release a retrospective compilation from street punk torchbearers, The Casualties. The album will cover the band's pre-SideOneDummy releases and is appropriately titled Best of the Punk Core Years.

To compile the tracks, the label has opened up the selection process completely and is asking fans to vote at this link.

The label is also planning to reissue the band's Punkcore-era material and has enlisted engineer Alan Douches at West West Side Studios to remaster the entire catalogue. The new editions will include their first three studio albums, including For the Punx, Underground Army and Stay Out of Order plus The Early Years 1990-1995 collection.

casualties are one of the few street-punk bands who can capture their live energy on cd. streetpunk is one of those genres that are made for live shows but casualties' albums are pretty fucking enjoyable.

once again, why do people come on here and bitch? if you like the band, good for you. if not, go someplace else.
i live the casualties, their sideonedummy stuff does get a lil repetitive, i love the stuff they released on punkcore, and i agree with ppl when they say they take the whole "punk" fashion to a whole new level, i mean these guys are ALWAYS decked out, punk isnt about the clothes, but they do play punk music, unlike good charlotte who dress that way, but play pop shit and call themselves punk. pennywise and bad religion play some of the best punk music ive ever heard, but they dress pretty normal, they arent decked out in mohawks and studs. but they arent preppy or anything either. not like i'd care, its the music that matters.
anyway, back to the band at hand, i love these guys old stuff, and im looking forward to these re-releases.

They're pseudo punk because their fashion comes before their music. Punk rock isn't about who has the biggest spikes or the most studs.

its not expressed throught the lyrics its expressed through the vocal delivery and amount of rocking in the music. listen to the ramones. they didn't have great lyrics but they were one of the punkest bands of all time.

and, for the record, if a band plays punk they are a punk band. don't get into that roundabout artistic bullshit way of thinking.
