Punkcore has announced plans to release a retrospective compilation from street punk torchbearers, The Casualties. The album will cover the band's pre-SideOneDummy releases and is appropriately titled Best of the Punk Core Years.
To compile the tracks, the label has opened up the selection process completely and is asking fans to vote at this link. The label is also planning to reissue the band's Punkcore-era material and has enlisted engineer Alan Douches at West West Side Studios to remaster the entire catalogue. The new editions will include their first three studio albums, including For the Punx, Underground Army and Stay Out of Order plus The Early Years 1990-1995 collection. casutiys are very fuck, not original punx, very like rancid but less punk more in the clothes and bracelets, seem a lot phony to me, rather like discharge and global threat for real spike punk! 3+ Replies

HAHA, like remastering The Casualties is going to make them sound any better. I think they should just do a re-done version with different band members and better songwriters. HAHAHAHA

Haha, I love how FuckYouOiOiOi is trying to single handed defend this band against everyone. The first time I remember seeing his name was in a Casualties thread, where it ended up almost exactly like this. 2+ Replies

you can still get all these albums pretty easily. so i'm curious as to why they're re-issuing them. oh yeah, mr. douches is re-mastering them (big whoop). do yourself a favor, get these now... before they repackage the damn things and jack up the price. plus, shitty sounding punk is the best kinda punk. amirite!?

i enjoyed this band when i thought mohawks, leather jackets, spikes, and bondage pants were cool. now i'm older, wiser, and realize this band blows shit.
