Toronto's North By Northeast music conference has announced details on the participation of both Television and Buzzcocks in this year's event. Tom Verlaine, singer / guitarist of New York's legendary Television, will sit down with York University musicologist Rob Bowman on Friday, June 9th from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Regency B and C of the Holiday Inn on King Street. As previously announced Television will appear later that evening for a show at the Phoenix Concert Theatre, their first performance in Canada since 1992.

On Saturday, June 10 Buzzcocks frontman Pete Shelley will be interviewed by former Much Music VJ Kim Clarke Champniss from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. in Regency B and C at the Holiday Inn on King Street. Champniss currently runs music management / television production company Invisible Republic Incorporated and teaches a popular culture course at the Harris Institute. The evening after the interview Buzzcocks will kick off their North American tour with a performance at the Phoenix Concert Theatre. The band is currently celebrating their 30th anniversary and supporting their latest record Flat-Pack Philosophy.

NXNE kicks off on Wednesday, June 7th in Toronto.
