Kubrick Toys launches Sex Pistols figures

Japan's Kubrick Toys has launched a two sets of Sex Pistols toys. The first, models the most well-known members and the second, curiously applies the bands aesthetic and designs to plastic bears of some variety.

The toy line is very popular with collectors and include many different themes including Neon Genesis Evangelion, Berserk and the Star Wars series of films as well as more esoteric sets like Back to the Future, The Great Escape and Blythe.

I think giving the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame the finger gives you some room to do whatever the hell you want for awhile.

Plus, if I worked in an office, I'd much rather have these on my desk than pictures of friends, family and horrible, horrible Dilbert cartoons.

i was more so pointing at the hypocrisy of some of the members here, than i was criticizing the Sex Pistols for this.
i frankly couldnt care less if they did this. but its annoying when a newer band that is unpopular with the readers here is bashed for the same behavior that other bands that are respected here participate in.

I'd hardly say the Sex Pistols are "respected." Usually more than half the posts under their stories are uneducated gits calling them "the first boyband" or whatever.

And if you didn't notice, these figures are more hilarious than anything. It's lego punx, man.

Yeah, I replied like that to a Johnny Rotten article once. But then got told that, yeah, he's an attention seeking, money hungry, fake asshole. But he admits it.

In my opinion it doesn't make it right, but at least you know what you're getting with that guy.

no, i wouldnt. i think if a band is allowed to sell tshirts and apparel for money, then they should be able to sell whatever the fuck they want, if people want to buy it, then thats their choice. now if you want to argue that bands shouldnt sell ANYTHING for money, i would disagree, but i think that is a better arguement than bands are allowed to sell items A, B, and C, but are money hungry if the sell item D
