Bomb The Music Industry! headed out on summer tour

Bomb the Music Industry! has announced some summer dates in support of the June 13th, 2006 release of their upcoming album, GOODBYE COOL WORLD.

The "band" released two free online albums last year: February's Album Minus Band and October's mini-album To Leave or Die in Long Island.

Wow...Like 4 California dates and none within 200 miles of where I live. That's a bummer. Maybe I'll make a little pilgramage out to Southern California for a day or two.

So I've read, but I don't travel out of my house much so I tend to avoid areas that I don't know.
Still, one Bay Area show...Too much to ask?

I don't think it is.

I live in New York and get grumbly when shows are in Long Island, Jersey, or Poughkeepsie.

But the Bay is pretty darn far away from SoCal, so maybe for one show, they didn't think it was worth it. But you'd think the distance would be worth playing a show there, because I imagine they'd do okay there.

this tour is without a doubt worth making a 6+ hour drive for. not only is it BTMI!, the FAD is on it too. myspace.com/thefad BEST BAND EVER.

If Suicide Machines weren't boring and interested in the mosh pit.

If LTJ made their horn players go get a coffee in 1994 rather than 2004 and were clever and funny and a bit more balls-out.

Well the most obvious comparison is Arrogant Sons of Bitches, but if you've heard them, I'm sure you've heard BTMI by now. I'd say they are a cross between Big D and the Kids Table and Rick Johnson Rock and Roll Machine.

Yes, it is going to be the inaugural release for Jeff Rosenstock's label Quote Unquote records, which is going to have all it's albums available for free download. So far the only other band on the label is the Matt Kurz One, who was support on their last tour and is also fucking amazing.
