Planes Mistaken for Stars release (some) album details

Planes Mistaken for Stars who recently signed to Abacus Recordings have released some details about their forthcoming Abacus debut. The record is the follow up to 2004's Up in Them Guts.

The band worked with producer Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Isis, Minus The Bear) in Seattle in mid-April. The album, currently titled Mercy is due out sometime this year.

these guys are pretty rad live. seen em like 3 or 4 times for some reason, but i can't really get into any of the studio stuff that i've heard.

it was me. i read it in the buddyhead interview. not sure if its still up or not. but the story is, some creepy dude offered him like 200 bucks to let him suck his dick. and he was like sure.no lie

heard an mp3 of matt (former guitarist) talking abuot that...apparently he AND jaime (former bassist) got a little man lovin for cash....as fucked up as it may seem, still seems irrelevant to the new album (in the fact that blowjobs don't make music...not to mention they're both out of the band now).

Thank fuck they're still posting information about the new album.

"out sometime this year" "sometime" my least favourite word....it's neither here nor there.

I hope they haven't changed their sound for the new album, because i love this band.

By the way the vinyl is coming out on No Idea. more worth of your support than Abbacus i reckon.

What i mean is. No Idea is more worthy of your support (so buy the vinyl version from the instead rather then than Abbacus) because No Idea, come off as being more honest, and they continously put out good material and they put something back into the bands on their label.

What i mean is Abacus don't appear to care much about their bands, they just sign a band with particular high interest at a certain point, but i wonder if they really have a real interest in the bands they sign at all, unless it sells.
