Engineer signs the Mockingbird Nightmare, plans split with Saboteur

Engineer has announced the signing of two new bands.

The first, is Kent, England's The Mockingbird Nightmare. The band is described as "atmospheric and thought provoking progressive post hardcore." You can check out some music on their myspace page.

The label has also enlisted Dallas, Texas-based Saboteur for a split with the band. They previously released Saboteur via End Sounds and you can check out some of their music right here.

The two bands will be contributing to a three-way split release, with the third to be announced shortly.

Engineer has not signed Saboteur, they are only release a split with Saboteur on it.

These guys are pretty good. Between this and Kover, I'm really liking Engineer a lot.

P.S. If you feel sad about HWM breaking up, please check out Kover.

What a shitty label. How do these guys stay in business? I know they claim Hot Water Music was on their roster. But they released 1 7" and HWM themselves don't even acknowledge these guys on their websites as releasing anything from them. Just quit already.

What the hell people. Your opinions blow. Leave the damn label alone and go about your day, I'm only saying that from a viewpoint of "if you like it support it, and if you don't ignore it." Why the hell all the negativity, if anything, there is more support of an underground scene, and another shot at your unsigned band that causes your jealous negativity. Damn, in researching and finding Engineer having had Hot Water Music, Joshua, Chamberlain, Dead Red Sea, Planes Mistaken For Stars, Rydell, well i am wondering what the hell you are complaining about? That's a release history worth admiring. (depending on YOUR age range though) Sorry, just had to rant this time as SO many posts are just plain childish and reek of pessimism. Be positive, take off your mascara and lipstick, and buy a Fugazi record dammit.
