Rancid continues to confirm dates on their North American tour. The latest additions are stops in Chicago set for September with Sick Of It All providing support for the shows. The band has booked multiple dates in Detroit, Boston, Philadelphia, Montreal, Toronto and St.Louis.

What- what -WHAT! ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME BUDDY?!?! Excuse me? Have u ever even met these guys? Rich-fucking-pricks? WHat the HELL are u talking about man- wow u really have no idea. These guys arent poor now- but they sure arent fucking rich- they came from being poor and are still some of the most HUMBLEST people I have ever mnet. Holy shit this really pisses me off considering Ive met them personally and talked to them for about 2 hours and I was blown away by how one of these bands that arent even huge yet are so fuckin down to earth adn THANKFUL and all about the positive. Poor excuse for a punk band? WOW man- you really dont get it. WHy dont u take a look into their music and lyrics and some interviews- listen to their FUCKING SOUND and realize they just happened in 2004 and look where the fuck they alreayd? AND where they came from. These guys are hardworking talented fuckers and never give up. Thats why they have so many opportunities and are praised by just about all the punnk abdns out there fucker! So take a look maybe meet them yourslef before you judge them!!!

Did you know that Rancid turned dowm a chance to be signed by Madonnas record label. it would of been the largest signing for a independent label band to a major label ever. It was worth 30 million $$$$ and they turned it down to be true to themselves and ther fans! So you go and listen to your fall out boy and hawthorn heights until you know what your talking about.

Does anyone actually know what's up with the inclusion of Reel Big Fish on the Orlando date? My guess was that RBF were going to play orlando that day (as they've played hard rock live the past two summers), but they didnt want to compete with the Rancid sho., But I could be compeltely wrong, and it just may be a "hey since were both in florida, why don't we paly a show together?" type thing. I'm just kind of pissed because I'm afraid that an RBF set is going to shorten Avail's set!!

Yeah Chicago is pretty sweet. The Louisville punk scene is pretty much dead with the exception of a few choice bands and punk bands rarely make stops here anymore. It's radio-rock and metal now. Now I have to drive 2 hours just to see a good show.

I'm not taking sides here, but I just saw LöC again Sunday, and there was a kid there who couldn't have been more than 10 years old wearing a "shoot the kids at school" shirt. One of the funniest things I'd seen in a while. But then Stza and Ezra getting into a fight and Ezra quitting the band that night topped it.

If it's bang for your buck you're looking for, you should check out the Warped Tour when it comes to town. From First to Last won't be on for the rest of the summer, but you'll get to see great bands such as Aiden, Paramore, Senses Fail, Silverstein, The Academy Is..., and Underoath, all for only about $35!

In Chicago last month, SOIA suggest that we all take a trip to NYC on September 17th for the anniversary.

So, I imagine it's 9/17, and I also imagine I will be going there. Greyhound maybe.
I'll also only be going to the 9/12 date (as these dates are wrong, and The Explosion is playing the 11th), and I'll be leaving after SOIA.
Not that I dis-like Rancid, but they'll be playing the same set-list they've played for the past six years, minus maybe 2 Industructible songs, which will be the 2 they've been playing the last three years.

Why would SOIA do NYC with Rancid? They'd play the same club on their own.

I've seen rancid about 20 times and aside from a few days on warped tour, back to back, they've never done even remotely the same set. I'm also under the impression they're doing a LOT of weird, older and non rancid stuff. They were doing Op Ivy songs at their Hellcat Night shows a couple of months back.
