Weezer Finds Temporary Bassist

"Scott Shriner, of the LA band Broken, will be temporarily filling in as Weezer's touring bassist. This is, of course, due to the fact that Weezer's regular bassist, Mike Welsh, is currently admitted in a psychiatric hospital for reasons unknown to the public."

Actually, a lot of people care if Mikey Welsh comes back, because he rocks. It's people like you who have plunged him into his state of depression. Mikey is an incredibly talented bassist, and he is part of the new Green Album Weezer. If people can't appreciate his contributions to the band, they may as well give up being Weezer fans.

Go listen to other stuff he's recorded besides Green. Rivers wouldn't let him go off on green. He's really good.

OMG! This sucks.. seriously.. I thought that Rivers would care more about a bandmember than zooming ahead and filming a 2nd Island In The Sun video. Weezer values are definitely going down the tubes. I am so disappointed in them. Nobody seems to care as much about Mikey as they should. I understand how hard it is to reschedule and run a band... but this whole temporary bassist thing is SO uncalled for. BRING MIKEY BACK
