The Turks embarked on what was supposedly final tour back in 2002, and have since played the sporadic shows in the US and Europe. I think I might go to that Radio Birdman show (or Rocket from the Tombs, I just can't decide)..conincidentally, I just traded my thrift store copy of "Radios Appear" for an Amdi Petersen's Arme 7". Oh well.

I could never understand what the big deal with these band is. They make some good music, but i've read some reviews of people calling them "the saviors of garage punk" or something along those lines. Maybe i have listened to the wrong album (Information Highway Revisited)?

I want to go to that Cleveland show pretty bad. But, that would mean that I wouldn't work at all that week as the 4th is a holiday and the 6th-10th is my birthday celebration.

If anyone is thinking of traveling to Boston for this show, let me give you two works of advice:

I was lucky enough to catch the Turks years ago on the *Board as Usual* Tour with Samiam. They fucking rocked. Problem is, and has been, that those snakes that work in the music industry and control part of it have never taken this band seriously. Just glad to see they are still playing shows and stirring up shit, i.e. the back and forth comments here!

But no show in Columbus? Psh. Come on. They cancelled on the show that was supposed to happen like last year (or was that two years ago?).
