Media: Helmet post full album stream

Helmet have posted a full album stream of their upcoming debut for Warcon Enterprises. The band will be releasing Monochrome on July 18th. For the record, the band enlisted Strap It On and Meantime collaborator Wharton Tiers to co-produce and return to the organic sound the band is known for.

The album is the first since 2004's Size Matters.

I saw this band at warped yesterday. Soooo bad. I left after the 2nd song to go see the dan band, best decision of my life.

my roommate wouldn't stop listening to the dan band's album when it came out. its horrible, i'll stick to richard cheese for my silly ironic covers thank you very much

Meantime and Betty are great albums. This is definately a bad description, but musically (not lyrically) they are sort of like a more rock/lesser Quicksand. Their older stuff is certainly better. Check 'em out.

Uhh, if he hasn't heard Helmet I'm willing to wager he hasn't heard Quicksand. Unless you're being sarcastic. I hope the latter is the case; you just can't tell on these damned boards.

I kind of always thought that Quicksand and Handsome were like heavier versions of the Goo Goo Dolls. The only Helmet I ever really liked was Aftertaste.

Very bad idea for these guys to be on the original Guitar Hero. I think their song was like on the 3rd hardest "level" and i aced it on EXPERT first time. Now if i can only get through the guitar solo in Bark at the Moon i'd be set

I like the old Helmet (Strap it on..,aftertaste) but this was bad.
Wimpy singing and weak guitarsound,what was a bulldozer has become a moped.
