HAIR compilation delayed to September

Chicago's Thick Records' Hair - Chicago Punk Cuts has been delayed from the original summer release till September 12th.

The compilation will feature 15 Chicago-based bands. So far, the label is reporting that Allister, Break The Silence, Colossal, the Killing Tree, the Methadones, Much The Same, Ryan's Hope and the Felix Culpa will be contributing tracks, each one an album exclusive. The album will feature the last Colossal track written with former member Jason Flaks who left the band last year.

The compilation is a sequel of sorts to the label's 2003 Oil.

Dude, Cougars is on this shit too. Or at least they better be, they let us use the song they recorded for the this compilation for our podcast, and that song kicked ass! I hope this thing doesn't get pushed back again, I would love to hear new Killing Tree.

Jason Flaks shouldn't be listed as former singer. He was a trumpet player, and guitarist. He did sing a couple songs (1/5 compromise) but the singer is Patrick Ford. Calling Flaks the singer is basically like saying "Rancid singer Matt Freeman has joined Social Distortion."

I'm being anal. I apologize.

I love Colossal, I can't wait for their last contribution with Jason Flaks. He also sang "Plateau Song" on their EP. I always thought him and Pat should've traded off vocals more.

Good enough to make the playoffs again. Then the fact that their center is a dinasour that can't score in a motion offense league will be exposed along with the fact that they don't have a clutch player to depend on offensively. Then Chicagans will be bitching about the Wallace contract and demanding that they trade him for a 'real star'

tom daily was on oil, but i definately would like to see some mexican cheerleader, the bomb, maybe hanalei, mt st helens, the falcon, the pines...

or, and maybe this is crazy, but in 2002 asian man said they hoped to have something out "next year"... that didn't happen obviously, so tuesday should do ONE SONG... ONE... that would ice this cake...
