Media: Brazil posts track from "Philosophy of Velocity"

Brazil has posted the first track from their upcoming full-length for Immortal. The band previously released an EP, Dasein in 2002 and a full-length, titled A Hostage and the Meaning of Life in 2004, both on Fearless.

The band worked on the record with producer Dave Friedman, who recently produced the latest record from Thursday and is a frequent collaborator of the Flaming Lips. Titled Philosophy of Velocity, the album is due out October 3rd.

i thought for sure this band was long done but we suddenly got a show confirmed in the shelter a couple weeks ago. good for them, i don't remember them being half as bad as some of the at the drive in ripoffs that were around a few years ago

Despite what im going to say here in a second, im going to give the new record a listen to be fair, BUT....

any bands press bio that uses the word 'existential' twice to refer to separate things, needs to let the music speak more than their philosophy references. I like how Dasein 'roughly' translates to existence. Heidegg-core? cmon guys.

My Hegel-core band will destroy you.
