Isis have posted the first track from their upcoming full-length, In the Absence of Truth, which is also their first multi-word album title since 1999's The Red Sea. Due out October 31st on Ipecac, the album was recorded with producer/engineer Matt Bayles.
You can check out the song here. The record is the follow up to their 2004 release, Panopticon. Last year, the band also issued the domestic release of Oceanic: Remixes and Reinterpretations. In anticipation of the new record, the band will be hitting the road with Tool with the first date on that tour just two days from now. Ipecac Recordings (33 comments)

I dig this track a lot. Seems like they've been bringing in a bit of Red Sparowes influence back with them. 2+ Replies

So, if Isis weren't already my favorite band on the planet, they would be now for sure.

I like Tool, but lets face the facts, they're the lazy man's "thinking metal" band. Everyone and their mom knows who Tool are and now it will be the same for Isis. I'm just gonna piss and moan a little more and keep being an ass. 1+ Reply

I love Isis because they are one of those bands that always move forward but keep a signature sound. | Features
