The Agony Scene joins Abacus Recordings

The Agony Scene has signed to Abacus Recordings. The band previously released The Darkest Red on Roadrunner and The Agony Scene released on Solid State.

They had this to say about the signing, and progress towards their third album:

We are currently writing songs for our new album which should see a spring release in 2007 on Abacus Recordings. We have a few written so far and they're sounding great. We plan to hit the studio this fall so we can get this record out to you guys asap.

We will also be announcing a new drummer in the next couple of weeks.

i'm waiting for the new Death Bleeds Dead Bleeding Bloody Dying Blood. new album's getting released by victory with one of those "for fans of" stickers. they're being compared to Shattered Hearts Dying In The Embers Of Autumn's Bloody Romance and Blood Bleeds Ded Bloody Bleeding Death.

wow, that was impressive. But not everything on Victory is shit...BTBAM and Nights Like These are both good bands.

Abacus seems to pick up what Tooth & Nail/Soild State drops, this is the 3rd band now.

Also, it doesn't seem wise, they were on Solid State then the all mighty Roadrunner and within 6 months of their CD coming out on RR, they were no where to be found with any connection to RR.

Too many labels within too short a time and then their last label makes no mention of them within 6 months...do you think that sends a really clear message? YES
