Avail drummer Ed Trask has been selected as one of the top forty under 40 by Richmond, Virginia's alternative magazine, Style Weekly. Trask, an accomplished visual artist is on the cover of the magazine (here) and earned this writeup:

Ed Trask used to see a dilapidated building in Richmond and visualize one of his paintings livening up the spot. So the VCU-trained painter and musician just started painting them. His murals popped up all over town and people took notice.

Trask has more than 40 murals scattered across the city, and many more of his lost-Southern-way-of-life-inspired paintings hang in Richmonders' homes.

Trask's newest project has been teaching, ensuring Richmond another generation of muralists.

As for Avail, the band will be headed to Australia next month and are currently in the process of booking their first West Coast tour in five years with plans to visit in January.
