this is a really shitty album. i don't know a single person who's heard it and liked it. personally, i think it sounds like the made it after staying up all night doing drugs. it's just disconceringly fucking horrible.
Coldwaffles (September 27, 2006)
Fucking Rolling Stone gave this a 2.

oh, that sucks, coz i just downloaded the whole thing. haha, brandon flowers. the album is a strange brew of shitty early 90's U2 and, inexplicably, bruce springsteen. whatever, it was free.

I bet if you sent a copy to Buckcherry, they'd melt the cd down and try to inject it or snort it. Long live Buckcherry!

From what I've heard, even the kids that actually liked Hot Fuss say this is terrible.
TrueBeliever (September 27, 2006)
I'll just wait until next week to listen, but can somebody who actually liked Hot Fuss let us know how this album is...

Now, I'm not normally one to complain about the whole punknews thing - I actually like other genres getting coverage - but this is ridiculous. Third-rate, mainstream radio-rock for wannabe hipsters just doesn't need to be reported here, it's already everywhere. How many people on this site care about the Killers and yet won't notice new songs without them being posted here? I'm not saying UP THE PUNX CASUALTIES NWS ONLY, but I'd appreciate it if the site payed more attention to bands that actually have some relation to punk, underground, or at least quality. End rant. |
