Media: New album from the Killers streaming

MTV.com has posted the Killers' forthcoming release Sam's Town for streaming. The album is the follow-up to 2004's multi-platinum Hot Fuss and will hit stores October 3rd.

this is a really shitty album. i don't know a single person who's heard it and liked it. personally, i think it sounds like the made it after staying up all night doing drugs. it's just disconceringly fucking horrible.

M.I.A, Subterfuge, GDB, Faded Grey, Curl Up and Die, Of Faith and Fire and many other great Vegas bands both past and present should negate those bands.

It's not like more people in Vegas like those bands than the rest of the country. All you other trendy cities are just as much at fault. We rejected ETF and P!ATD before they got any national recognition.

yeah dude. i thought hot fuss was alright....(it started sweet then just got perpetually worse the more i listened to it....started to sound like a crappy cure rip off) and this album wasn't very good....kinda sounded like a wet fart

Now, I'm not normally one to complain about the whole punknews thing - I actually like other genres getting coverage - but this is ridiculous. Third-rate, mainstream radio-rock for wannabe hipsters just doesn't need to be reported here, it's already everywhere. How many people on this site care about the Killers and yet won't notice new songs without them being posted here? I'm not saying UP THE PUNX CASUALTIES NWS ONLY, but I'd appreciate it if the site payed more attention to bands that actually have some relation to punk, underground, or at least quality. End rant.
