Legendary theatrical act GWAR have added more dates to their upcoming tour with retro-thrash/crossover act Municipal Waste. GWAR is supporting their new album, Beyond Hell while Municipal Waste is supporting their debut Hazardous Mutation.

Hazardous Mutation is their second full length, Waste 'em All was their debut LP, and I think they had an EP before that.

I don't get this whole Municipal Waste craze. Everyone is talking about how great they are. I'm a big fan of thrash/grind/death metal and I picked up one of their albums and there is waaaaaaaaaaay better thrash out there than this. Majority of people who said they like this band have black lego man haircuts and low riding girl jeans, so that doesn't say much.

So you're linking Municipal Wate in with 18 Visions and As I Lay Dying? Yeah, those aren' t the type of people who listen to Municipal Waster at all, you must be confusing them with someone else, but you are right about the fact that there is better thash than the waste.

Every hipster around here pretends to like doom metal and thrash/powerviolence.

Municipal Waste are okay, but they're a little slow. I mean, Cryptic Slaughter are from the original era and they completely blow MW outta the water.

Also, I'm kind of done with cheesy fantasy lyrics. Thinking something's cool just because it's stupid is downgrading yourself (not saying you are, but a lot of their fans just like them because their image is so moronic and out-dated).

Which one did you get?

Hazardous Mutation or Waste 'Em All? Waste 'Em All is much better.

And yeah, they've become really popular with the "black lego man haircut" crowd, but so is most thrash and crust stuff.

I'll tell you what band is/was better, DFA!

I picked up "Waste em all!" i'm not saying that the album is bad, It's good for thrash but I mean there's alot better. Slight Slappers, Sensless Apocolypse, Cripple bastards...more of my liking for the thrash/powerviolence style.

There's a Clifton Park, NY. Usually, Gwar plays Saratoga Winners in Cohoes. Northern Lights is more of a professional club that gets all the hair metal has-beens and tribute bands, all the while charging $20+ a ticket. For the capital region, it's probably the shittiest place to have a concert. I guess GWAR's management must have gotten sick of working with Step-Up Entertainment and figured they could make more money charging 25 bucks a pop .

Road Trip to Sparks! I've made many trips to Arizona and Socal since the last time Sparks had a show this awesome (that skipped Vegas). Stoked!

I still question the Waste's party credentials since they keep skipping sin city.

In all the news posts and dates listed (including friends groups on facebook and all) everyone is snubbing the Red Chord in the listings. How are we forgetting that this show is both GWAR(!) AND the Red Chord. Red Chord for legimate hardcore carnage, and Gwar becuase they are easily one of the best, most hilarious and most bloody enteraining (get it, double meaning....god damnit im wierd tonight) experiences on earth.
