The Blood Brothers have released the first video from their upcoming album. Due out October 10th, the record is their fifth and is titled, Young Machetes.
The album is the follow up to 2004's Crimes and in the intervening time, members of the band also released Chandeliers in the Savannah and the Headlines single under the name Neon Blonde, as well as the eponymous EP from Head Wound City. The video can be found in Quicktime format here: "Laser Life." (Also in Windows Media (High) or Windows Media (Low).) You can also check out the entire album right here. The band will be supporting the album with a Fall tour alongside Texas-based band And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead. V2 (26 comments)

Love it!!! I am so stoked they are playing at Western Washington University later this month. The new album should be good, but hopefully they are playing some old stuff too.

ok video. cool song. want to hear the rest, if that's the poppiest song on the record (thus the reason it is the single) then maybe the record will be out there? i dunno. 1+ Reply

My friend and I were listening to Young Machetes in the car today and he was all "I bet this song is going to be the single".

My favorite track off the album is Spit Shine, even though it sounds more like Neon Blonde than BB.

"HEAD LIKE A HOLE" meets that one episode of SOUTH PARK where Cartman had that undulating trapper keeper... 1+ Reply

So, that link doesn't play the whole album anymore. Now it only plays like five songs, which are actually the poppiest songs on the album.

Not feeling this album at all yet. I like the one song but I really can't get into it, but I'm probably gonna give it another chance sometime soon. | Features

Great video. Reminds me of Superman 3 near the end for some reason.
