Sunny Day Real Estate frontman states reunion "tempting"

Former Sunny Day Real Estate frontman Jeremy Enigk has not completely ruled out the thought of another reunion with his former band. He recently spoke with MTV News about the impact his band had on today's popular "emo" acts, and how the demand for Sunny Day Real Estate is larger than ever.

The article also briefly mentions there will be a Fire Theft reunion, which includes 3/4 of the original Sunny Day Real Estate members. No word on if they plan to tour and/or record new music. Jeremy Enigk is releasing his solo album, World Waits, this week, and will begin touring in support of it October 31.

diary is their least developed and most raw album. the pink album was their defining cd. everything they put out was great sans a few tracks on later works. but that pink cd knocked my head off.

People weren't "turning emo" in droves at all when Diary was big. The pink album is superior.

This will be interesting only if they go back to a more stripped down first two albums sound. Jeremy has been pretty much only been working with The Rising Tide sound with his solo stuff and The Fire Theft. No point in putting out the same record you would have otherwise, only with SDRE slapped on the cover.

Actually, Pete Wentz would most likely know this band. I mean, the man holds his junk with Morrissey posters behind him, and his band has covered Jawbreaker, Joy Division, and Gorilla Biscuits. The man is scene till death.

Wait, you're one of many that mislabled, or just believed writers, and labled it?
I like those bands, but theyre as real emo as I'm hulk hogan, and only one of them (sdre) actually defined a "sound" or "genre." The other two you listed (like em both) werent nearly as influential

Dear Jeremy
You were, at a time, admirable. Your intial reunion was cool, and NEEDED. Your "reunion" record, while not as good as your older shit, was good. They you did ANOTHER? Then dudes in your band are talking shit about one of your ex members, and the foo fighters, who quite frankly, own you (and probably sold a ton of records for you? Your last record bombed. You're solo shit's been pretty mundane. Your Firetheft ended up more a CigLighterborrowing.
"reuniting" the band, especially after you've been running around as "the fire theft" will continue to sully your rep more than anything.
Just do your solo shit, or start a new band or shut up.
