The godmother of punk Patti Smith will be a guest on WNYC's "Soundcheck" today (Wednesday, October 18th) from 2 to 3 pm EST. The show will air on 93.9 FM in New York and online at WNYC.org. It can also be heard via XM Satellite Radio channel 133 at 3 pm that same day. Smith will talk about her recent final show at CBGB and her upcoming appearance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The October 20th appearance at the Met is billed as an evening of poetry and song that pays homage to Joan of Arc. It will feature songs and poems that salute Edith Piaf, Charles Baudelaire, Juliet Greco, and Arthur Rimbaud. Rimbaud's birthday coincides with the date of the event. Radio (14 comments)

It would be funny if they replayed the audio from the CB's show where she briefly mentioned XM, but because said Sirius by name as they were broadcasting the event. I wonder if XM would bleep that part or not. In any event, XM is cheesy no matter what their programming may be.
